any answers to help out there? due to health not good,feel hesitent on going back to the uk for a while we have a house, a rental property we wish to sell in the UK, we have an interesed buyer is it possible to do the deal of the sale when myself a permanent resident in OZ, and the potential buyer living in the UK deal done via solicitors cheers any advise would be great :unsure:

Hello poms, going back to Manchester in April,question is as a UK tax payer also pay council tax on my uk property that I live in when in the UK,will I as a senior be able to ask for a bus pass ?

Wondered when I'm back in the UK,will I have to pay for my regular prescriptions,I am a senior,when living there had scrips for free when I hit 60. I am a resident in Australia

It really does take a long long time to feel anything like settled. Taken me several years, been back once on my own. Loved everyday going back alone in April can't wait. BUT Australia really is ten times better than the UK My husband loves it here as do my grown up sons Think the main loss is friends we grow up with are no longer there Hope whatever you decide to do works out well. My uk address was Manchester my OZ address is Portland Victoria Million miles different. Just arrived back after a three month trip Think Perth is wonderful as was Freemantle

What do you think is the best plan ect for a mobile phone. Have given up home line need good value with not silly costs to keep in touch with family in other states of Australia and keep contact with friends and family in the UK cheers.

This property was bought at auction over 25 years ago in a poor state bought to rent,been rented ever since mega work over the years by builder husband Bought for 44 thousand pounds now worth around 190 000. Last tenant abused the property,builder living next to the property has brought it up to scratch Many thanks

We are selling our property in the UK had it over 20 years. How does capital gains work lived for several years in Australia. Do we pay the UK or AU. Only pay tax to the UK as were oldies that retired to Australia :yes:Any advise would be good.
