Id like to know some names of shops in australia!?
nik_kershaw replied to a topic in Kids Down Under
Google Westfield Bondi, you should get a store directory and then you can see what shops are here. Be warned there are very few UK/European shop in Australia Sent from my iPhone Living the dream -
You can get a really good feed at the central cafe in QBN. Not sure about the longest bar fact though, so long as I can get a nice cold one, I'm happy Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

Awesome idea, looking forward to that one. I will hopefully be without children and so able to socialise more. Thanks to everyone that came down, I am looking to do another one before I hopefully start my course at the end of August, this time it will be at a club like the Hellenic Club Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

I live in Queanbeyan and like it here. I feel as if there is more of a community spirit here than over the border. As for working in Canberra, I think most of the population in QBN work in Canberra. As for services not being available to me, I haven't found this to be a problem. I have 2 small kids (3 and 7months) and they will be going to a catholic school just down the road. Queanbeyan has very easy access to the coast and Sydney as well the Snow during the winter. Public transport is an issue, however most people use cars to get about. There are bus services to Canberra but not sure how frequent they are Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

Looks like it's going to be a cold one, 10 degrees. Hopefully this rain should die off as well, if not there is cover there. Looking forward to seeing you all there Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

OK, not sure how to put the map from google maps on here so just look up Queanbeyan Park. The BBQ and playground are all together near the tennis courts behind the police station in Queanbeyan, just off the main road in Queanbeyan. 17th June is the date for the event and the time is 12.00 noon. As I said before there is an area under cover as well as a large playground. To all the newbies, wrap up warm as it will be cold There is only 2 BBQ's there and as it isn't a huge place so we should spot everyone all together. See you all there

I have my mum's address on my UK licence, so I will just have it sent there and then sent back to my place in Australia Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

Hi guys, my UK driving licence is due to expire soon, however I have a NSW driving licence. The problem is I have everything from motorcycle through to HGV class 1 on my UK licence excluding bus. When I transferred my licence to NSW they only transferred motorcycle and car over, However if I wanted to get my HGV again I just have to do the test, rather than having to go through all the other licence requirements. Will this still be the case if my UK licence expires, or do I need to keep it up to date? Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

OK I have a venue, for all you guys that live in the ACT, we are going to have it in Queanbeyan. There is a large park behind the police station with 2 BBQ's and cover. I will sort out a date and a map of where it is when I get on a Computer Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

Hi everyone, I used to do these meet ups every so often but since having my 2nd child I have been very busy. I have seen quite a few new people turning up to Canberra of late so I am looking for a Sunday to do it again so long as there is enough interest. I try to aim at doing the meet up's in parks so that the kids can enjoy them selfs and the adults can have a chat. If you are all up for a Sunday lunchtime then place a post as to when. I will look for a venue. Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

There are a number of places to get tires from in the ACT. I go to Mick Owen motorcycles as he is very honest and does the job right. He's not too bad on price as well. I ride a firestorm, mainly to work and back but more than happy to show you around. A nice loop through Kangaroo Valley and up the Clyde sounds like a plan and a good days ride. See you soon Sent from my iPhone Living the dream
