We'll be back to QBN, as the mother and father in law live here and we'll still have a house here which we rent out. Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

Yes NSWPF, and funny you mention Bourke as that is where I am looking to be posted for a number of reasons including the fact I have family there. Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

Currently undergoing police training which you can do as a PR. I may still however look at the public service if the police thing does not work out for me

Hi everyone, I have a freiend of a friend who is moving to canberra who is looking for a place to stay, maybe short term accommodation. He is in the car industry in his 40's and is a single man, moving up from Melbourne. I know there might be a number of threads on here but does anyone have a room for rent etc? cheers Nik

I have been told I have the green light for the 26th in Queanbeyan. Awesome!!!

Just be aware that you won't be looked at for any federal government jobs as you have to be a citizen. You can get positions in the ACT Government as a PR, but not federal positions. That's another spanner in the works for you, sorry Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

Hi everyone, I miss some food so much that I make it myself like cherry bakewells, however for my next venture I want to make some Steak Puddings (not a fan of the kidney) and I need to get some suet. It appears to be quite hard to find as it's mainly us POM's that use it help please Nik

I tried to call them yesterday however I was informed that the mayors office was closed until the 7th Jan. from looking at the council's website it looks like they only do it once a year, something which if I don't get in this year I may have moved and my new local council will have to do. Anyway, fingers crossed for the 7th Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

I don't, I have a letter from DIAC stating that the local council will be in contact to arrange a date but as far as DIAC are concerned, I have done everything that they require. I am going to contact the council today to see if I can get the 26th Jan as another date maybe hard for me to attend Sent from my iPhone Living the dream

hi guys and girls Well it looks like after flying over here over 4 years ago I might be attending a citizenship ceremony in Queanbeyan on Australia Day at the park behind the police station. I came home from my week away in Merimbula to find a letter from DIAC stating I have passed everything and that all I have to go is attend the cerimony that the council will arrange. I will be on the phone tomorrow to the council to see if there is any chance for me to get in on the Australia Day ceremony. Anyone else looking to attend a citizenship ceremony on the same day?

Downside, unless you're a citizen, finding work can be hard as over half the workforce are public servants. Sent from my iPhone Living the dream
