2.
hey just logged on here for first time in about 1 year. Seen your message asking on my opinion on places in perth. Did you enjoy your reccie ? Did you decide on a favourite spot ? It s so hard hey? We originally stayed in Kinross for 7 weeks on our arrival whilst deciding where to live -pretty much made our decision around schooling for the kids and spent ourfirst year in Northshore Kallaroo which was lovely but the owner decided to sell the house :-( we are now living in Duncraig which I like - its a quiet place but I hate the house (bit old and grotty butwas all we good get at the time due to increase in people renting around here) anyway we are now looking for somewhere in Carine as we love it there, son plays for soccer team there and I got the two youngest starting at Carine Primary after the current holidays - son had a bad incident at Springfield Primary Kallaroo and I wasnt happy with the way the head dealt with it so I pulled them out only last week.

Hi guys

Yes we finally were approved State Sponsorship - found out 9th July - it was approved on the 6th July. We are happy things are moving again - just pannicking now that we will have our visa granted before meds expire on the 15th Sept -

Started looking at flights and found a real bargain 3 adults (son is 12) and 2 children only £2050 quid so snapped it up - now really not sure I should have been so hasty, although they have gone up now, same flight £5000 when I looked yesterday - keep reassuring myself LOL We fly to Perth on the 12th Sept visa or no visa :goofy:

Oh well worse comes to worst at least we'll have a much needed holiday - just won't have any money left to redo the medicals !!!! Hows your plans going ???

kind regards

Tina

 14.
No worries - I think your thread is the only thing keeping me sane at the moment - it's brill to keep tabs on where everyone is at in their visa journeys.

 15.

Yes I just read their post - 5 weeks is fantastic hey - fingers crossed you follow suit...

You'll know if we hear anything I'll be shouting it from the roof tops LOL

Hi there,

No news yet - we still keeping our fingers tightly crossed !!!! Hows about you guys ??

 17.
We had a confirmation email with an application reference number sent to us nearly straight away after lodging online that was on the 17/03 so we will be in for a long wait too - it said in the confirmation email 4 - 6 weeks but I am guessing that will be more like 10 - 12 weeks anything before that is a bonus. I am starting to wonder why we decided to put ourselves through all this hassle and heartache. Other people seem to sail through the whole process get there visa sell their house just at the right time etc etc we are just unlucky I guess :-( . I am feeling sorry for myself today - blooming rain and wind not helping - all my little girl wants to do is go feed ducks ......... AARRRGGGHHH Bloody Britain.

 18.

Oh you poor things you would have been so excited and then the changes Oh what a nightmare....

Lets just keep our fingers crossed we will get to Oz eventually. Keep us updated hey we may end being neighbours one day

 19.
Just fill in as much as you can with definate reasons why you have picked WA and give enough info for them to see that you are committed to living in the State and working. Then you can lodge it immediately and you get a reference number back by return email incase you want to make any further enquiries or add anything to your application - I was very quick to get mine in and the email said processing should take place in 4 - 6 weeks but I guess with the influx of new applications due to the changes this timescale is totally unreasonable and to be honest I am expecting a longer wait but at least it is lodged and with all the states changing their lists at the moment I think that is the main thing to consider - WA could also change their list at any time and I am just hoping they will follow SA lead and honour any existing applications already lodged. Good luck - sorry to babble on a bit - I just hope you get your application in asap and are successful - All the best of luck.

Hi there

At last someone else on here also with Jo. To be fair she has been great for us - I just wanted to get the sponsorship stuff lodged asap. I panicked with all the trades changes - we have been waiting for almost a year now since lodging our visa last May !! I didn't want to miss the boat again. I didn't really go into much details about Jo doing the State sponsored bit really - she just said it was our best option to get back on priority processing list and if she did it there would be a charge of £200 . I had a quick look on WA website and saw the online form and decided I could just do it myself - it is easy really if you haven't already paid the money and don't want to wait why not give it a go. TBC .............

 21.

Oh thanks for the info thats good news then - I just really want that visa - its a nightmare - kids keep asking are we going or not LOL. Lets hope WA and QLD follow suit then we'll both be happy hey.

I'll keep you posted.

 22.
Yeah just fingers crossed now I guess - I can't sleep at the moment it driving me crazy all this unknown and waiting - just hope they don't make radical changes with their Sponsorship lists. We are using Jo Grist of Grist International she is based just North of Brisbane.

Hi there,

Well we decided to do our own SS application - Agent wanted £200 extra - I guess after laying out 4k already i should have probably just paid it but it didn't look that difficult and to be honest we haven't got a lot of spare cash at minute with building the way it is. Anyway fingers crossed now we'll get SS sometime this year LOL !!! Kepp us posted how you get on too.

kind regards
