Picked up boat last week. trailer was £2700 when new 16 months ago GST bill for trailer and 2007 Honda cr125 come to $1240 did not get a cleaning bill but I was expecting one. was told that AQIS come out three times to look at our belongings.

Hi lee only had to pay GST on the trailer and send a email to customs saying I will not sell the boat in the next two years. My boat is a 6-5m humber dive pro.

Hi just shipped our boat over and used Iron Lady Imports to get the import permit, put boat in the container with our belongings which was easy and we used crown Relocations. we had excellent service in uk and here and would recommend them. if the boat is less than 7m long and 2.5m wide and you have owned it for more than 1 year it will be classed as a personal import so you wont have to pay any tax. waiting to hear from Alco to see if the hitch is Australian standards compliant then we have to have chains welded to either side of the hitch. We are in the state of Victoria other states may vary. if you need to know anything else please ask Keith

Hi mate the bike went in the container with all our stuff and I had to pay tax on it when it got here value of bike in uk was £2000 had tax on bike here was about $400 still might have to pay $150 to have it cleaned before we get it. keith

Hi mate you will need a import permit for the bike speak to the guys at Iron Lady imports that have just done my sons bike. only needed some photos of the bike and a bill of sale from the previous owner

Hi Andrew, me and my family are moving to Melbourne from Romford in January. We're bring our dog with us but from the research we've done it seems like its going to be difficult to rent with a dog, how did u find your rental.Keith

Hi, can anyone tell me if and how we could ship my sons motocross bike to Oz in our container. I didnt know if we will be able to take it as we only have a bill of sale as the bike is not registered because it is not road legal. Thanks, Keith

When we were looking on websites I.e (seek.com/au) there were quite a lot of jobs for apprentices and qualified sparks and no we haven't found anywhere to stay yet

Hi im Steve and im 17. I am currently on my second year of my electrical apprenticeship in the UK but im moving to Mornington just outside of melbourne with my famliy at the end of january. I am looking to carry on with my apprenticeship out there, is there anyone that could advise me what to do, in order to carry it on, i.e local companys and collages in which i can contact for further information. many thanks Steve
