Grommit7
Hi. A newbie here wondering about other experiences of using firms here in Aus to bring over your. uk pension monies, and any advice or recommendations which firms/planners to use (or who not to use!) many thanks
MARYROSE02
You don't HAVE to bring it to Australia. You could just leave it in Britain, or wherever it is, but whatever you do, you should perhaps get some 'proper' financial advice. I worked for Royal Mail for twelve years, and I did not try to move my pension to Australia. Now it pays out every month, into my UK bank account, and I arrange to transfer the funds to Australia when I need them. I could actually have told Royal Mail to pay my pension directly into my Australian account, but I chose to pay it into my British bank account. ali
We made arrangements to move our pensions prior to leaving for Aus - we used Prism XPat - but this was in 2006
