bessiedoll
Hi Guys I posted this in the Citizenship thread, but i think it got lost. Hopefully someone can help. After i passed my citizenship test i was sent an "Invitation to comment on adverse information" because i have some criminal convictions from around 10 years ago ( the maximum punishment i received was a fine). I have complied with the request on the letter, provided character references and my own stat dec to state what happened and why i have a record, and how i am of good character. I sent the letter express post on wednesday and it has been received yesterday according to the tracking number. Does anyone have any idea what happens next, and how long it will take? xx
Quinkla
Don't know what happens next but if the offences pre-date your visa then there shouldn't be a problem. I'm guessing that it will add a few weeks of processing time, but given that you'll have to wait months anyway for the ceremony...
