  1. I got my husband to check everything to make sure I wasn't imagining it ? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  2. When I got the approval letter I was expecting to wait 6 months.. I thought to myself that it would probably be around Christmas time. Then I got the next letter and I thought it was going to tell me they have changed their mind ?. I couldn't believe it that it was for my ceremony. I am very luck that my whole process was so quick in comparison to others. I also got an email today to say that I had been added to the electoral role. It still won't feel official until I get the certificate, but it is all real ? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  3. I know right ??The longest part of the process was waiting for the approval after the test because I had to send more information to them. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  4. Applied online - 7/5/16 I think Email acknowledgement - 8/5/16 Test email - 10/5/16 Test date - 14/7/16 - changed over the phone to 14/5/16 Approval received - 29/6/16 Invitation for ceremony- dated 4/7/16 City council - Liverpool Ceremony - 23/7/16. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah that's what they said it was. Because they didn't get signed in time. I'm just worried because my postman has been known to try and deliver letters and parcels to the wrong address quite often and if I don't get the card I won't know it's at the post office. 6. Hi guys. I attended my citizenship ceremony on July 23rd. We were told that the certificates were not available on the day and that they would be posted out registered mail. Anyone have any ideas how long it normally takes to receive it? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  7. I called council and they said best to stick to 2. I'm happy to only take 2. I was more asking because my in laws want to all come, but I told them they can't. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  8. Hi guys. I have my ceremony on saturday and it states on the letter that I can only have 2 guests with me. Are they strict on this or is there a chance I could have more than 2 guests? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  9. I don't remember my exact timeline, but today I got my approval letter ?? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  10. i know i keep posting about this, but i am not getting any further forward with finding the answer to my question and i am starting to panic now. Sat Citizenship test : 14th May 2016 - Passed with 100% Received invitation to comment on adverse information : 18th may Returned all requested information by registered post: 8th June delivered 9th June called immigration on 15th June to make sure that everything had been received and to find out what happens next, and they said that there has been nothing noted on my application to say any information has been received. i was only given 28 days to respond to the letter, and by 15th when i called, that was 28 days. they person i spoke to said that it could be sitting on the case officers desk, but i couldn't speak to her to find out. does anyone have any experience in having to go through the process of providing additional information in this way, and how long it usually takes to go through the process. i am seeing people who have had their citizenship approved on the same day that they have taken the test and received the letter a week later, where as tomorrow will be 6 weeks since i took the test and i am still waiting. what happens if they have lost the paperwork i sent to them? i have the receipt from the post office to show that it was sent recorded delivery. but i stupidly didn't take copies of the signed character references etc what are the chances that it will be rejected? the adverse information was that i have criminal convictions from 10 years ago, which have been declared on all of my visa applications, and have never caused an issue before. i just wish i knew what was happening, or at least how long i will wait for an acknowledgement that the information i sent has been received.
  11. Hi Guys I posted this in the Citizenship thread, but i think it got lost. Hopefully someone can help. After i passed my citizenship test i was sent an "Invitation to comment on adverse information" because i have some criminal convictions from around 10 years ago ( the maximum punishment i received was a fine). I have complied with the request on the letter, provided character references and my own stat dec to state what happened and why i have a record, and how i am of good character. I sent the letter express post on wednesday and it has been received yesterday according to the tracking number. Does anyone have any idea what happens next, and how long it will take? xx

  13. I just rang the society of practicing accounts and they said that she can't do it because she needs to be a full member. It's OK, I will just get someone else. I'm glad I checked though ? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  14. Hi Guys This is probably a simple question ( at least i hope it is) but i just cant find an answer anywhere. On the list of who can witness a Stat Dec it states one of the options is "Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants or the National Institute of Accountants". Does anyone know if the Member of the Certified Practicing Accountants needs to have a specific level or membership. It doesn't say on any information i have found that they do need to. The person i was going to get to do mine is an Associate member, and i understand that there are different levels, so now i am confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  15. It happened to me too. I checked my bank account and it had been cleared out by an atm withdrawl about an hour away from where I was at the exact time. I tried to figure out where it could have been skimmed, because they would have needed to get my pin number too. The man at the bank said that it could have happened months ago and they only just decided to use it. Luckily I got the money back from the bank. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  16. It has to be someone that knows me and knows about my past convictions, but who is not family. It's a total pain because I don't know many people other than my husbands family and I guess they would class them as my family. I also don't make a habit of telling people I work with that I have a criminal record so I'm stuck that way too!! I have a couple of friends but again, I don't really like to talk about my past mistakes. Just makes me wonder if it is even worth all the trouble. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  17. It was the letter from immigration requesting the character references. I am now in a bit if a tizz about who I can get to do this. There are very few people who I know in australia know about my convictions, it's not something I start a conversation with when I meet someone for the first time. It was a long time ago so I hardly ever think about it myself.. I though I would just need to pass the test and that would be it. I hate having to go through all of this again. I would have thought given that my visas have all been approved this wouldn't be an issue. I'm very frustrated right now. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  18. When I did my test, I was told by the immigration lady that she would send out a letter requesting character references because I have spent criminal convictions in uk from 12 years ago. I have received a card today to say that the postman was unable to deliver a letter and I need to get it from the post office tomorrow. Is it likely that it's the letter from immigration? It's only been a week since I did the test, that seems very quick? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  19. All done. Passed with 100%.. took less than 4 minutes I think ?? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  20. How early should I get there? My appointment is at 1:40? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  21. I have spent every spare minute at work for the last few days doing the practice tests. I think I know more about Australia than my hubby [emoji4].... but I keep getting stuck on the political questions. I just keep reminding myself that I only need to get 15 out of 20 correct (I hope that's still right) Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  22. Hi all. I'm taking my citizenship test tomorrow and I am so nervous I feel sick[emoji30] . Someone please tell me I am being silly and that I will ace it. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
