Celt Down Under
Hi, we are looking to purchase a used touring caravan for a trip around Australia for approx 20 to 25 thousand dollars. does anyone have any recommendations as to which make or model we should choose or steer clear from!! No children travelling with us, just the two of us. Any help would be great. Many thanks Doug. It is many years since we have owned caravans, but when we did, we went with a Jayco. A lot of choice out there now, so visit the caravan centre on at the junction of Bayswater Rd and Dorset Rd where there are a few dealers selling new and 2nd hand vans. It will give you an idea of what is available and prices. You can check what catches your eye against private sales in the Trading Post or on Gumtree or ebay. Good luck, and happy caravanning. HarrisL16
Hi, we are coming over for a year in October to buy a van & tour round prior to applying for a 143. Our son is a PR & has completed 1 lap & now going round again but with a tent. His advice is to get an off road van as many of the places/National Parks are not accessible with a normal van. Try looking at caravancampingsales.com.au also greynomads site has lots of useful information re free sites etc. good luck will look forward to seeing future posts Lorraine
