Guest Neil Palmer
Hi We are currently waiting for the skilled migration visa to come through i am Sparky and a keen England supporter i would like to know from any one in Oz how the world cup is viewed over there? Are there Bars where you can watch the footy with like minded souls all be it at 0100 in the morning? Are there St Georges crosses around? Have the Oz's warmed to the idea of football with the soccerroos doing well? Are there any sparkys out there? how is the work situation is it fairly easy to get work? I don't suppose there are any POSH fans out there who know the real meaning of football dispointment! Look forward to hearing you views Neil
Guest ABCDiamond
There are some World Cup big screens in Brisbane Breakfast Creek Hotel Belgian Beer Cafe Regatta Hotel Conrad Treasury Casino Plough Inn Tavern Union Jack’s Ale house The Caxton Normanby Hotel http://www.ourbrisbane.com/whatson/worldcup/ The news we see on TV, shows big crowds watching on large screens outdoors, and yes, even at 1am. Guest sue
Don't panic, soccer is huge here with all the Poms especailly here in Perth.Plenty of pubs showing the match. As for sparkys plenty of work just have to do a course to get a WA licence and the same anywhere else also. If you are coming to Perth need a spark so let us know.
