  1. Yeah but surely this is only the case in mining/engineering recruitment? Also i planned on doing my 3 months regional work as soon as i get there. Get it out of the way at the start.
  2. Im a qualified electrician with experience of boiler wiring and controls but no gas experience as such, would there be any point in applying for this position?
  3. Yeah i appreciate that but obviously if its possible to "bend" the rules then i will take advantage of that. Has anyone here had or know someone with experience of getting a 457 without perhaps as much work experience/qualification as you would normally need? Just for the record I'm not looking to fraudulently get a visa or anything, just establishing if it would be at all possible or not.
  4. I will keep it short and sweet and would really appreciate any advice/answers. Would it be at all possible for me to find work as a trainee recruitment consultant on a WHV (I am very keen on a career in REC after having done a lot of research and speaking with friends in the industry here in the UK but have no experience at all) Secondly, I know that it is possible to get a 457 visa in this industry but wanted to know how I would stand if I did manage to work in oz for 12 months in recruitment by spreading it over a first and second year WHV (i plan to do 3 months skilled work to entitle me to an extension and the possibility to work for the same company for 12 months), would it be possible for me to get a 457 with only the limited experience I would pick up in my time there or do they require a lot more experience? Thanks in advance! Patrick
  5. oh, well it appears that because I am a new member I cannot actually PM you until I have made a forum post (which I have but it still doesn't work!). I was wondering if you were actually working in recruitment, because of your reference in the original post.
