Poms away84
Hi there, i hope some people here can help me. i have been in Oz for 6 months now on a WHV and mainly down in sydney. I have decided to come up to the NT to do my regional work and currently stayin with family outside of darwin, searches on google seem to be full of scams or people wanting money up front. i have experience in maintenance and labouring as well. So would anyone give me some advice or some farm contacts around that they know. Thanks in advance
calNgary
Hi Have a look through our backpacker job section to see if there is anything there that may be suitable. Good luck Cal x
tingtongman
Hi mate, Its best to stay away from the paid up front jobs, they are not worth touching IMO. I been told by a few people that work is a bit dry in Darwin, I think its dry everywhere from what people are saying. You may just have to take what you can get in the short term, and wait for the next few harvests to kick in
dannymonaghan
Try a few agencies, my mate and I done half of our regional in Darwin doing labouring work. We used Top End Consultants which is on the street beside Mitchell street not sure of the name. The other we used was KI Group this is a bit further out you would need a car to get to their office. The mango farms were just starting as we left so maybe not as much farm work around as there was. Also try walking around the sites, theres plenty round about the centre and also new places being built like Zuccoli. We heard of a few people getting work just walking up to sites with people not turning up.
