Guest Missiemo
Hi Chewie Not sure how long SIR visa takes, we have been granted a STNI visa, that took 5 months and 3 weeks. Also do not know if you are aware of this but you can apply for the SIR visa online, so it will be a lot quicker then usual, look at the DIMIA website, it has the link you will need for on line applications. Good Luck Missiemo
Guest lholmes
For a SIR visa, how long can you expect to wait till you get the visa? From the time you submit your application to DIMIA, the general turn around time on an SIR visa is approx. 6 months. This is provided that you already have your skills assessment and State nomination approved as well as all police, medical and employment checks processed with no delays. If you get a proactive DIMIA Case Officer, you may be granted the visa sooner, however you should always expect the visa to take the estimated processing time.
