References - Solicitor statutory declarations?

Hi Guys,

I am having my skills assessed by the ACS at the moment. My agent has came back to me and said that the ACS want my references on headed paper. Unfortuntley many companies do not give out references stating skills and performance, and is very much an HR reference. I was advised that to include proof of employment for these references for the referee would be suitable. However, like I said the ACS have came back to me asking for headed paper!?

The Agent is recommending to me that I get the references signed again in front of a solicitor and get a statutory declaration?

Has anyone had issues like this before?

I am worried this is going to massively delay my application, as I was hoping to have had my skills assessed by now to be honest

Many thanks,

Dave
