Dunwa
Basically as the title says, My wife and family came out with my job on my 457. She's managed to get a very good job and understandably her employer wants to protect themselves by offering her, her own 457. Would this cause a problem in essence being double counted on visas? For a example, Visa 1 with me as the primary applicant and my wife as the secondary applicant and visa 2 with my wife as the primary and me as the secondary. Hope that make sense ? NickyNook
While two 457 visas sounds better than one, - I have no idea if it's possible to keep the original one going. You might find that the second 457 will cancel out the first. If your wife's employers are that keen to keep your wife, why not ask them to sponsor for a PR visa instead. That way the whole family will benefit.
