richselina
Hi, we've recently received SS from ACT and we had to supply details of all monies (cash or investments) we were bringing with us. To prove the assets we had to provide a current statement (bank, building society etc) along with a statement from 12 months prior for money laundering purposes. We also had to provide details of equity in our house via a recent estate agent valuation. In hindsight, it's probably easier to show less money than more as it means less paperwork, but you do need to show that you have sufficient cash to be able to live for 3 - 6 months when you arrive. Hope this helps.
