We are moving at the end of November but are not taking any furniture with us - just books, cds, photos, clothes, toys and a few small household items. Any responses greatly appreciated. Went with crown relocation....cost about £550...and equivalent of 5 washing machine size boxes...which is how they described it to me....sure there was more than that though!! If you have four boxes, the fifth is free and then they're £30 each after that. Found their delivery and pickup reliable (at your end - won't recieve until mid December) but geography awful! Seemed to think Epsom in Surrey was in the Midlands! they won't let the boxes leave the country until they have a copy of your visa. Our total bill was £150 ish. Where in Oz are you headed?
