I have heard about a scheme that people working in Oz on a 457 visa can claim a tax free sum against rent, bills, food, etc. I understand that your employer must be signed up to the scheme. RockDr Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 1) You need to clarify what's quoted with the employer. some employers used total fixed renumeration (salary [+ perks] + super), others quote base salary. 2) LAFHA (living away from home allowance).
