Aaahhh moving to Brisbane from UK.....

My partner has secured a job in Brisbane will be based in Eight Mile Plains!

Looking for any advice on:

- How long does the 457 visa take to come through?

- Where to live? Any areas to avoid?

- Nurseries? Costs? We have a 2 year old

- Cost of living?

- How much will it cost to move all our stuff from UK?

- Brands - what big UK food brands do you get in oz?

- Shopping? Who shops are there to buy clothes? (I am a woman afterall)

- Cost of a can of coke.... lol

 

Seriously, I know some of these may seem trivial but as you will know, all sorts of stuff flies through your mind!

 

Any help / advice is much appreciated!
