Hey I'm Roisin and I'm currently cabin crew for an airline based in Scotland. I'm moving over with my partner and was wondering if anyone had any advice for trying to gain employment in an Australian airline. I love my job and would ideally like to continue flying in Oz.

Welcome to Poms In Oz.

You havent said where in Australia you are going to be based.

I have had a look at Skywest for you, but there dont appear to be any vacancies other than for Operations Controllers in Perth.

http://www.skywest.com.au/Careers/Career_Opportunities/Careers_CabinCrew.aspx

Virgin Blue are "accepting interest" enquiries http://www.bfound.net/list.aspx?CoId=43&rq=1

Qantas http://www.flightattendants.qantas.com/International-from-Australia.aspx but they are busy with redundancies and re vamping their market geared towards Asia hence employing more Asian personnel.

Jetstar are recruiting "casual cabin crew"out of Melbourne

Hope this helps a little.

Good luck

Susie

Hi Roisin,

I'm a retired National Jet Captain in Perth, NJS was bought out by Cobham they operate a fleet of 14 Boeing 717's for QF and 14 BAE146 FIFO all crews are Cobham employee's.

It should be possible to contact them in the UK alternatively check there website in adelaide.

Cheers
