I am tied in to the UK until 2010 (which is depressing, especially reading everyone else's progress), but will aim to be in Oz by Jun of that year. Really really cannot wait.... Guest wfourie Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 Once you visa is approved you then have to fly out and get it validated. Once validated I believe you have upto 5 years to move out. I have lots of time so I am keen to do it myself and saving the pennies. Reading through the site, it seems to take anything upto 18 months - seem about right? Guest sparky Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 Hi impatient, I think it depends on what type of visa you apply on,we are going on an 136 independant and if your job is on the demand list (from what i have read on this site ) is seems to take approx 5-6mnths, Saying that though we have been waiting since end of December for a case officer.
