AllyB
Hi, I have a question about tax claims in Australia. I have been on a working holiday visa for the last 12 months, then spent 1 month on a tourist visa and have now been sponsored to stay on a 4 year 457 business visa. I made a tax claim at the end of the last financial year (which was 6 months through my 12 month stay) and got all my tax back as is standard on a working holiday visa (tax paid at 29%). Question is: Can I claim now for the tax I paid in the 2nd half of my working holiday visa (as I could do with the money) or do I have to wait until the end of the tax year and combine it all with my new earnings? I know I can actually claim now but just not sure whether it is a good idea to have to submit a further claim later this calender year at the end of the financial year? Thanks in advance Ally
