Guest SDJ&A
Went and had a go at the Kayaks yesterday at this place, Sydney Harbour Kayaks. Hire kayak instruction rental sale buy learn in Sydney It's here, Google Maps I have no attachment to this company. Had a four hour tour of middle harbour and beyond (upstream)and it was great. The wife bought it for me so not sure of the cost but I don't think it would have been loads. 12 in our group in 6 double kayaks. No waves that far up only a bit of wash from passing motor boats. Had a really good time on a lovely sunday morning, not a lot of water traffic but a fair amount of hardwork was required. I thought we would have some gentle paddleing around but they made us work. I was able to keep up but the shoulders were aching at times. The guide was good, lots of info about the area, houses etc and maybe the best bit was going though a mangrove area. Paddleing though the trees and roots was fantastic. Amazing that we were only 7-8km from the center of Sydney yet could have been right out in the country. Really enjoyed it, will look into having a go in a sea kayak down my way. If you have never done it before, give it ago. It gives you a different perspective of Sydney. Guest The Pom Queen
We tried it in Melbourne and loved it. Wouldn't mind giving the white water rapids a go but may be to old for that especially with a dodgy heart lol. Also fancy a go at river tubing White water rafting in Cairns with Foaming Fury but Oh said he didn't want crocs biting his behind as we went down the river.
