Sandy,

I thought you just need to send via email. Just print it, sign it, scan it with 300 DPI and send it. I think this is what VIC says at the time of applying ?

( reply to email which you get from VIC with the attachment would do I guess )

Anyways good luck mate !!

Thank you Machang I wish you good luck aswell!!! Hopefully all of us will be successfull!

Sandy

Hey I also received a mail this morning from Victoria asking for the declaration to sign and send back within two weeks. I am 100% sure I included the initial declaration in my original application so hopefully this is a good sign.

Congrats Lex! So this means IT applicants also moving!!! & I hope I will hear from them next :) :) OMG I'm getting goose bumps!

BTW Lex I'm asking you some thing if you don't mind sharing, I saw in another form that people with gaps in their CVs were asked to resend the CV too. Do you have any gaps? If so around how many months?

Gaps means the unemployed time between two jobs.

Cheers! & congrats again! :wubclub:

Hi lankan...yeah hopefully something good is happening.

I have 1 big gap(4 years) and 2 small ones (2 months) in my CV but they are all gaps because they are periods when I went back to school...for example I have a 4 year Gap because I quit work and went to varsity to study for a degree, or both 1 month gaps when I went for a course after leaving an employer and before joining the next one. But I have included all the part time development jobs I did while I was at varsity or any contract work. So if there is a gap in my work record, it is explained for in my education record.

OIC, since you have mentioned that you were studying during those gaps it wouldn't be a matter!

I got this email just now. I am also 100% sure I included the signed declaration with my application. Anyway, I am assuming that it's a good sign :-)

Edit: Funny thing is they used old case ID in the email and asked me to use this case ID in all communications. I wonder why they changed the case IDs anyway?

Not sure sending them both assessments was a good move. It might rather get them confused. Which occupation did you nominate for state sponsorship? You can't nominate both...

I nominated 261399 Software & Applications Programmers NEC and sent the Analyst Programmer skills assessment by email. I don't think it should confuse them as these occupations are closely related. My motivation was that it shows I am more employable as I have a wide range of skills and can be employed as an analyst programmer as well as a software and applications programmer.

I think everybody knows by now that if you have been positively assessed as a Computer Professional NEC with specialization in any programming language, you should have no problems to be reassessed as Analyst Programmer, Developer Programmer or Software Engineer. ACS kind of became a rubber stamp for this during the last couple of months.

When you say you sent them the new assessment by email, which email address did you send it to? And how did you make sure they know whose assessment it was? Again, hope they won't get confused by that email and won't start asking you silly questions instead of just proceeding with SS grant...

Yeah, you know it, I know it and all ICT professionals know it, but since DIAC and ACS don't seem to know it (or acknowledge it), I am assuming Victoria also doesn't know it.

Anyway, I used my case ID as the reference and sent it to their skilled migration email. But looks like they changed my case ID recently, so don't know what happened to my email. Anyway, as I said earlier when they contacted me today they used my old case ID, so I am assuming they got it.

Edit: I would be more than happy to provide further information to them, so it's not a worry for me.

Hi Swan,

Guess you also don't have any unexplained gaps in your CV!!! gaps means empty transition period from one employment to another!

No, I don't. The only ones were for study and I was working part time in ICT during study as well.
