Schedule 3 v Schedule 4???

Just come back off our Honeymoon today, OH passed his AQF III Landscape Gardener qualification a week b4 our wedding. Landscape Gardener is on the Schedule 4 list but not on Schedule 3 List, what is the difference (in plain english).

Landscape Gardener was on SA's provisional list in April, but is not on the Interim Occupation List currently posted on their website. Landscape Gardener was also on WA's provisional list, but there doesn't appear to be any information regarding SMP's on WA's website at the moment.

Can anyone shed any light on any of the above? If Landscape Gardener isn't on SA's Interim List but was on their Provisional List in April, does that mean it has since been dropped as a "needed skill"??

Any help or advise would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Schedule 3 is the new SOL and those whose occupation is on this list is eligible to apply for a GSM visa. Besides, this also gives you No. 3 priority. If your occupation is on schedule 4 and not on Schedule 3, then you will have to be sponsored by a state as per the new SMP to be eligible for a GSM visa. If you are unable to find a suitable State, then you will have to check the new ENSOL list and if your occupation is on this list, then you will have to find an employer who is willing to sponsor you. While this is not impossible, it is a difficult task.
