    SOL Schedule 2 question

Hi I am after some advice on where I fall in the SOL. My occuptaion is listed in schedule 2 which is for State or Territory Government nomination. I dont understand what this actually means, and if there isa different application process I need to go through. I have done oline assessment with visa companies and some say I meet the points and others say I dont. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I am planning to apply for the Regional Sponsored (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 475) sponsored by my relative who is staying in a designated Area, please let me know if I have to refer to SOL - Schedule 3 or Schedule 4 for my Occupation. Is SOL – Schedule 4 the right list for Regional Sponsored (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 475) sponsored by my relative? Note – My occupation is not listed on SOL - Schedule 3 but is listed on SOL – Schedule 4 My Occupation is University Lecturer. I have no option other than applying under ENSOL if all else fails. None of the state sponsorship have this occupation listed. The only exception is ACT, however it requires you to currently be employed in ACT in the nominated occupation to qualify. Any advice is deeply appreciated, Many thanks

    Schedule 1

:confused:If my OH occupation is on the new sols list under schedule 1, does this mean he has high priority?
  4. Hi Would anyone out there be able to help me. I applied for a 175 visa in April 2010 and at the time my occupation was on the Schedule 1 list. I called immigration twice in April and they confirmed I was in Priority 3. When I still had not been allocated a case officer I called again this week and was told I am now in priority 4 as they are retropectively applying Schedule 3, which my application is not on, to everyone who applied prior to its introduction in July 2010. The immigration website says clearly in several places that Schedule 1 is the list that applies to my application, but the agents have been instructed not to process it. So people who applied after me are getting priority. I am in Oz on a working holiday visa but my time is up with my employer at the end of this month. They want to keep me on but are not in a position to sponsor me. Does anyone know what has happened to applicants who applied under schedule 1 prior to July 2010, and can anyone give me some advice? Thanks Louise

    SOL Schedule 4 question??

Once you have State sponsorship for the main visa applicant.............. job on SOL 3 so no issues there. Are you able to claim partner points if the partners job is on SOL 4??? Bit confused about this one, not to sure as to whether SOL 4 only applies to main visa applicants
  6. Hi all! I have been away on holiday and have been trying my best to catch up! I know I may of missed a post or two so please excuse me if this had been discussed! I have been searching, as always for ANY info on the SMP etc etc.......... I have come across this:- General Skilled Migration Skilled Occupation Lists (SOL) Applicants must have a nominated occupation which is on the SOL applicable to their circumstances at the time they apply: the SOL in existence prior to 1 July 2010 in ASCO code (schedule 1) – applies only to General Skilled Migration (GSM) applicants who lodged their application prior to 1 July 2010. See: Skilled Occupation List (SOL) – Schedule 1 (197KB PDF file) the SOL in existence prior to 1 July 2010 in ANZSCO code (schedule 2) – applies to GSM applicants who are eligible for transitional arrangements and who lodge their application before 1 January 2013. See: Skilled Occupation List (SOL) – Schedule 2 (169KB PDF file) the current SOL (schedule 3) – applies to all new GSM applications, including applicants eligible for transitional arrangements if they prefer to use it. See: Skilled Occupation List (SOL) – Schedule 3 (122KB PDF file) the State and Territory SOL (schedule 4 ) – relevant only for GSM applicants who are nominated by a State or Territory government agency under a State Migration Plan. See: Skilled Occupation List (SOL) – Schedule 4 (236KB PDF file) I have seen talk about cat 3 and cat 4 and don't know if this is what you are all refering to? As the schedule 4 talks about the smp list and the occupations on it????? This to me seems very different!! The others talk about the old sol and the new. This to me does not seem to be the processing priority list, but 4 different senarios! If anyone could shed some light it would be appreciated! As we are all waiting for the SMP list this seems very close to that info??? Thanks!:notworthy:
  7. Hi, If Primary Teacher is on schedule 4 sol and is on SA sponsorship list but not on schedule 3 SOL can I still apply? I'm very new to this and I realise it may be a stupid question :swoon: I just want to be sure. Thanks

Schedule 4 of the SOL issue

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can verify if what I have read (a lot) is true. I'm 27 years old, British, single and have a bachelors degree in Business and Marketing. My stepmother is an Australian Citizen and my dad a permanent resident. I have more than the needed points (105) with my role as a marketing specialist. However, this role is on Schedule 4 of the SOL list. I understand that Schedule 4 involves the person to be state of tertiary sponsored. Although, when I look at the details of say subclass 176 or 475 for example it says you can either be state or family sponsored. Can you tell me if one aspect overrides another. E.g. Because my family could sponsor me does that mean I don’t need to be state/territory sponsored even though my role is on Schedule 4? I very much appreciate your time. Kind regards, J

Finally applied for Visa 176 to DIAC at Dec 2011. Now i am bit confused about which priority processing i will lies in, 2 or 3. As per priority processing docs on 14th July, i met both criteria 2 and 3. Can anybody please help me to understand. BR// Scorpio123 Skill Assessment 5/5/2010, SA SS Received 24/11/2010, VISA 176 applied 03/12/2010.. now waiting:mad:
  11. Read somewhere in the forums of some 2129-79 environmental engineers who have lodged, but are languishing in Group 4. Contact your skills assessment officer, or e-mail msa@engineersaustralia.org.au with your client ID. Ask if they are able to provide an explanatory letter to request Immi to move your application to Group 3 SOL. They will provide this service for free. Note to Computer Systems Engineers 2129-79 (i.e., me) and other non-SOL Sched 3 engineers... no such luck for you (and me) if you aren't SOL qualified... we're still sitting pretty on Group 4.
  12. Hi all, Guys this is my first post but I have followed this forum for months and this is a great forum for all. I have some doubt regarding how will the points offer for specific work experience. "60 point occupation and three years work experience in the last four years in a closely related occupation. " If the work experiance is mix of schedule 3 & 4 jobs. Let say last 24 months in schedule 3 and before that 24 months in schedule 4 job. How many points will I get ? Thnks guys .... :wideeyed::eek:

    Schedule 3 v Schedule 4???

Just come back off our Honeymoon today, OH passed his AQF III Landscape Gardener qualification a week b4 our wedding. Landscape Gardener is on the Schedule 4 list but not on Schedule 3 List, what is the difference (in plain english). Landscape Gardener was on SA's provisional list in April, but is not on the Interim Occupation List currently posted on their website. Landscape Gardener was also on WA's provisional list, but there doesn't appear to be any information regarding SMP's on WA's website at the moment. Can anyone shed any light on any of the above? If Landscape Gardener isn't on SA's Interim List but was on their Provisional List in April, does that mean it has since been dropped as a "needed skill"?? Any help or advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

What does this mean??? Schedule 3

OK I am really confused now, Was on the immi website and this is what it states for Schedule 3 This list applies to applications made on or before 31 December 2012 for a Subclass 885 (Skilled-Independent), 886 (Skilled – Sponsored), or Subclass 487 (Skilled – Regional Sponsored) visa by an applicant who held a Subclass 485 visa on 8 February 2010 or had applied for a Subclass 485 visa that was not finally determined on 8 February 2010, and may nominate an occupation on the current SOL or the new SOL that commences from 1 July 2010. This list also applies to applicants who held a student visa in subclasses 572, 573 and 574 on 8 February 2010 and who apply for subclass 485 visa on or before 31 December 2012. Applicants can only nominate an ANZSCO occupation from 1 July 2010. The ASCO codes correlated to ANZSCO occupations provide DIAC-endorsed policy guidance for the purposes of acceptable skills assessments. An applicant with a relevant valid skills assessment in an ASCO occupation should map it to the relevant ANZSCO occupation. So I was on a Student 572 on 8 February 2010 and applied for a 485 last month. S what does it actually mean, can we apply for GSM or not?? This is starting to annoy me now. Any info/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mandy

    SOL - Schedule 4 question

Hi all! Just a question regarding SOL - Sched 4. Where it says "This list applies to applicants for subclasses 176 (Skilled – Sponsored), 886 (Skilled – Sponsored), 475 (Skilled – Regional Sponsored) and 487 (Skilled – Regional Sponsored) visas who are nominated by a State or Territory government agency.", what do they mean by State or Territory government agency? Sorry stupid question, that doesn't mean migration agent, does it? Sorry, newbie here! :wideeyed:

    schedule 1, 2 and 4

Morning, I am SO confused. We have lodged a family sponsored 176 visa in april 2010. My husbands job appears on schedule 1, 2 and 4. I am certain we are cat 4..lucky us..but I am unsure of what this means in terms of SMP. If we are on an SMP when they are publised does it mean we can move across without having to re submit? Or are we are looking at 'very long wait' and cap and cease if we don't change our application by re submitting? Thanks for help, I am sure everyone is just as confused. Amelia x

    Visa Conditions Schedule 8

my Brain hurts reading all this jargon, can any body please explain in "English" :err: what it means when on the visa stamp it says conditions mig.regs.sched.8. don't know if you have ever read schedule 8? it doesn't make any sense to our 176 visa?? the reason why I am asking is I am planning to go out ahead of the main applicant, my husband who will follow once the house has exchanged? thanks
  20. I would be grateful if someone could clarify. The Schedule 4 of the Skilled Occupations List states that it is "relevant only for GSM applicants who are nominated by a State or Territory government agency under a State Migration Plan." However, there are no State Migration Plans approved by the Minister at the moment. If I were to apply for an onshore State/Territory government sponsorship now, can I nominate an occupation on the Schedule 4 of the Skilled Occupation List?
  21. Hi I got my visa label put in my passport today. (Yay ) On the label it says 'conditions mig. regs. sched. 8' I wanted to know what this meant so googled and shedule 8 seems to be all the work restrictions. There are no numbers under mine. So is this just there on the visa label as it's where they would list restrctions.....or does it mean something else please? Also, I've read lots on here about the main applicant must enter or validate first or with dependants. This is not mentioned on my grant letter or visa label - does that mean it is not applicable please?
