Or are the UK ones recognized and is it enough for me to notify "Identichip" in the UK of our change of address to Australia? Thanks for your help in advance! Dawny Posted June 22, 2010 Share Posted June 22, 2010 Our boys have the same old microchip, we were told by our pet shippers that the vets here will scan them and re register the address, providing the microchip that has been used on your pet is a international one, which most are! Guest juliemtaylor Posted June 22, 2010 Share Posted June 22, 2010 We shipped our 2 cats in January this year, both were already UK microchipped. We had problems registering them with our local council and had to get their chips scanned again by a local vet and registered on the National Animal Records Database with our Oz addresses then we could register them with our council and pay their reg fees and get their new shiny ID tags to wear..
