Emmylou23
When we came out we shipped out my husband's two 30 year old ford escorts. Anyone know how much it might cost to get them back and what the procedures are regarding customs as bringing them here we had to get import approval. Can't seem to find much on UK govt sights in relation to bringing them back. Ta Mxxx
Guest boa
I don't know about costs but customs wont be a problem as they were (I assume) registered in the UK before. There wont be any taxes to pay when you take them back, just your costs associated with the shipping.
ozglenn
You don't need an import approval to return the cars back to the uk and you also won'tpay any duties or tax as the car is a "re import" and no doubt made in the uk.

I think you have a timeframe to do it in so might pay to get them exported even before you are ready to go.
Guest andyncora
Check the original reg numbers for UK on DVLA web site, you need to do a Vehicle enquiry, only need reg no. and make, this should produce a record which says that the vehicle was exported and even on which date. Hope this helps.
