Back in 1990 when I got my licence in Oz I had a Mk2 Cortina, back when the value was determined buy how much MOT was on it and how full the tank was. A couple of mates had Mk2 Escorts, which we kept going by buying the last of unroadworthy ones for parts. Since 2000 I have hardly seen an original condition one, they all seem to be in the hands of collectors and enthusiasts now.
