I sent off my TRA paperwork on 8th of Feb 07, so it should not be long now before i here something. Keeping my fingers crossed. Used an agent (Give me your money:sad: ) so should come back ok, as they checked it all before sending and said it looked great and did not need to change anything. Anyway I am a 1st class welder/fabricator over here in the uk, (Mig, Tig, Aluminium etc) and have built rigs, ships and worked in power stations, fab shops etc. What are the job vacancies like around the Brisbane area for me. We are looking to settle around Bracken Ridge, Aspley, Fitzgibbon, Deagon etc. Are there welders jobs around this area or will i have to comute to get to the job. also any information on what the rate of pay is for welders would be greatly appreciated.
