Pharmaceutical Sales in OZ?

Hi,

Does anyone know anything about pharma sales in Oz? Is our ABPI qualification recognised there. Any info welcomed.

I dont know the answer to your question but my wife probably does. She's a part-time pharma (not sales, otc) so I'll get her to scribble something when she back here. We've been here a couple of years now.

Hi Greg, you'll be in demand that's for sure. There seem to be plenty of GP sales rep posts advertised over here. I can't answer for sure whether your ABPI qualification would be automatically recognised here but it would certainly be valued and I expect would make it easier for you to obtain the Aussie equivalent. The two addresses below are for a couple of specialist pharma industry recruitment agencies and they would probably be able to answer your question without any difficulty if you made contact with them. Please mention that your were referred to them by Koala Konnection (http://www.koalakonnection.com.au). Quite a few sales rep jobs are also advertised on the general employment site http://www.seek.com.au so you can get an idea of what's on offer from there too.
