  3. The major sites when looking online for a car are.. http://www.carsales.com.au http://www.carsguide.com.au (allows you to sell your car for free) http://www.carpoint.com.au http://www.drive.com.au Note: Expect to pay double the price for the same car in Oz, than what you would pay in the UK. This is because of high taxes. On a sunny side though, petrol in oz is about 3x times cheaper than in the UK.

SALES JOB Adelaide -- advice please

Hi everyone! My husband and I are moving to Adelaide in July 2015. I have a job as an agency nurse however my husband who has 6 years experience in sales is finding it very hard to find a job. He currently sells and manages multimillion accounts within construction. He also has sales and account management experience in different areas. He is the top seller at his current company and is earning a good wage. Not one person has looked at his CV or shown any interest and its a very good CV. He has even applied for temporary jobs which are completely below his level and experience yet no one will take him. We are hoping that once we are over he will find it easier.???????????????? Everyone is saying 'its not what you know but who you know in Adelaide" or 'its Adelaide go to Melbourne" but we have family in Adelaide and our hearts are set on it. Why is it so hard to get a job in South Australia? can any one recommend any agencies to work with or any ways to approach future employers? Thanks
  6. I have just reduced the price of my Ford Fiesta by $1k as I need to sell it urgently (I am heading overseas in a couple of weeks). It is in great condition and has been well looked after by myself and the previous owners. This car has the following features: - Manual - Only 80800 km - A/C - Power steering - Generous boot space and back seat for a small car - Seats 5 people - Driver & passenger airbags - Great condition inside and out - Rego until March 2015 - Being sold with RWC Feel free to contact me if you have questions or want to arrange a viewing. I'm based in Richmond, Melbourne.

  9. Evening All, I've recently swapped from a commercial accounting role into a Sales account manager role within my firm. In the process, my 457 has also changed. Before this change I was eligible to apply for permanent residency through an accounting selection. My question is, now that I am in a Sales role in Australia, can I still apply for an accounting PR? My intention is to go back to commercial finance after 12-18months with the experience I gain in Sales. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tommy

I am a fully qualified Beautician with NVQ Level 2 and a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy plus many other qualifications. I have previously worked for Laura Ashley in the UK and have gained a lot of experience working in sales from there. They are very strict on customer service so i believe i am strong in that field. Any help with current vacancies suitable for me would be greatly appreciated or if you are an employer please get in touch!!! I am here on a Working Holiday Visa so can only stay with an employer for 6 months, but might apply for Partner Visa eventually as my boyfriend has permanent residency and can apply for citizenship later this year (if that helps!!) 13. Hi, While my husband is a Pom we are already living in NZ where we are planning to move from to Melbourne mid 2013. He has been in media here for many years, and the last 2.5 he has spent working in marketing/sales (due to the small city we're living in). As sales isn't his passion he is thinking about retraining, possibly to work in IT (he used to be a buyer many years ago) or telecommunications. I guess I'm just feeling it out - does anyone know of any reputable training establishments? Or companies that will invest time/effort into someone that has the skills but not necessarily the qualifications? His other option is to do more marketing/media work, I think he may not be as keen on this as he doesn't want to be 'stuck' in a sales role where he would much rather be doing something creative. Your advice will be gladly received!

  16. Hi everyone, Just wondering for those of you who are pro's at getting flights for Australia, when is the best time to pick up a good deal? We have to validate by May 2012 and was holding back for the time being on booking flights as we may sell the house in time and only need a one way ticket, but as the time goes by so quickly I am now thinking I need to investigate return tickets too... I was thinking that the sales for flights would be in January, however, I am not sure if this is the case or not and if anyone can suggest the best airlines to fly with, the best time to buy etc... we are family of 5 (2 adults, 2 children aged 7 & 9 and a baby). What time of year is the cheapest? We were thinking of going in April?!? Also, does anyone know if the baby would fly free or would we have to pay even though he would not have a seat? Thanks for any advice. Tasha :wubclub:

Do car boot sales exist in Australia?

Moving into our first apartment in Sydney and need to get some cheap and cheerful secondhand stuff. In the UK we used to do this at a car boot sale, but I can't seem to find the equivalent here, only individual 'garage sales' which are too small really. Does anyone know if car boots exist here? And if so, has anyone been to one anywhere in Sydney? Thanks! StS

  23. Hi peeps, I need some help please from you experts! My boyfriend and I have watched the SMPs for the past year and waited in hope that my job as a Sales Rep / Business Development would come up on one of them. We noticed yesterday that Technical Sales Rep is on the SA SMP list, this is our preferred state as we have family there so are very excited! However, we are a bit confused as to whether this covers my job .... I work in B2B sales for a large international airline, recruiting new business partners for their loyalty program. On the description for "Technical Sales Rep nec" we're not sure what the nec (not elsewhere classified) means. Any ideas??? Does this mean it covers everything that is not on any of the other Sales Rep classifications e.g. the one specific to medical/pharmaceutical/industrial?? Please help we're so confused ....
