help please to get to oz

Hi to all you guys in perth

anyone out there that can help us please,

7 months into the process now, done and passed the TRA,

so want to come over on a skilled visa,my trade being a painter/decorator

next stage we have is to fill out the state sponsor application form,

never been to oz before so would be coming over blind,we have always said for many years that perth would be our place to go ,but have never been so dont know what its like, hence the HELP bit, on the application form we have to provide loads of info,

i.e provide details of why we chose this region..

how have we researched our preferred location..

Do we have any evidence that my skill is in demand in that region..

provide details of how we reserched the cost of living in WA..

And estimate the cost of living in WA and provide details...

Dont want much from you do they..........

 

SO to all you lovely people that live ,work and love perth any information to help us on our way would be greatly appreciated

Do you have chance to get to an expo? You can pick up information booklets on a lot of the stuff you're asking.

 

Otherwise try State Migration Centre » Living in Western Australia for info on living in WA - housing costs etc.

 

As a rule of thumb the cost of living used by banks etc. is $1500 per month for a couple $500 for each child. From the above site median rent is $320 a week so you'll need about $2800 to live comfortably without children.

 

Use jobs sites such as www.seek.com for employment

 

Most people use the internet as their main research tool so say that!

 

Could mention the Australia & New Zealand magazine (whether you have read it or not!)

 

Books you have read????

 

Why do you want to migrate? And why to Perth? Answer the questions honestly, if you don't know you need to know otherwise you could be making a mistake (sorry if that sounds harsh..)
