Guest Panic Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 :coolxmas:Hi All, my first question on this forum and i need some advice... I have been offered a post in Sydney for $125K PA. What i dont know is if this is a good salary in relation to the cost of living and if this is going to give a comfortable life to me and my family? So before i decided to drag the family out there there were a few basics i needed to know and the question at the top is one of the. Of course, for you that have done this and made the change i take my hat off to you but i am honestly not sure what to do? SO if any one can share their insights as to this salary it would be good to know if its good/middle or whatever? Thanks.. Guest guest17301 Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 Sounds good to me but then I will be earning under $60k! It's all relative and depends what you're used to/hoping for. Some use the rule of halving dollars into pounds so if you could live comfortably on around £62.5k in the UK (half your Oz salary) you should be fine.
