Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone could offer some advice please. Have been offered a job in the CBD (Parkville) and we are hoping to head over mid January time once the Visa is sorted out. We are hoping to find a holiday rental for the first few weeks while we look for a longer term rental.

What is a reasonable amount that we can expect to pay a week for a holiday let or serviced apartment?

Are there any companies / links that people have used that you could recommend?

Also we would like to be close to Parkville if possible, so which suburbs would you suggest for looking at a holiday rental in?

Sorry for all the questions but have gone into panic mode now!!:arghh:

Thank you in advance!! xx

Hi Three To Go

Unfortunately, you are arriving at the busiest time of year and the most expensive. We have short term furnished accommodation available throughout Melbourne ranging from £25 per night upwards.

If you look around Melbourne, the average furnished rental price staarts from $120 (£50) up to $400 ( £120) per night and most holiday lets put their prices up for the Christmas period.

We have a property owner who advertises her rental on our site who has availability, the property is in Clifton Hill 10 minutes away from Parkville.

Take a look and see if you think it would be suitable for you: Moving to Melbourne: Accommodation Available in Melbourne

We can also offer airport pick ups and help finding a long term rental if neeed. There are a few PIO members (MelPaul, Angiebabe, Herbies, Heather 38 and the Terry Family) who have used our services so you can chat with them if you like.
