Guest The Pom Queen Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 I live in the South East Suburbs and made the commute to North Melbourne on a daily basis. It really is a long commute by car and it may be worth considering something closer. A lot of the staff lived in Melton and some in Gisbourne, they all said they were lovely places. Bayside is a lovely area and you have some stunning suburbs like Beaumaris and Sandringham, but it depends on your budget and what you need from a suburb. It's a reasonable assumption. The winters are mostly milder (although this one isn't) but the summers are MUCH hotter. A lot of last summer for 35'C+, with a good few days over 40'C. We topped out at 45'C on one glorious day. The problem is the bets time of year is Winter when the Footy is in full swing The biggest concern here in the Summer are the flies which are simply pandemic in the start and end months. How long have you been out there and any regrets? we are a family with two kids. Any advice on things that we need to consider that may not be obvious to us at the moment?
