We are looking to move in about 2 years time which gives us plenty of time to get everything ready and get all the info need. Guest yvonne and paul Posted August 25, 2008 Share Posted August 25, 2008 Hi we have just booked our medicals, you have to have your chest xray first wait about a week till they are ready and then have a medical with a GP (our agent sent us a list of GP in our area, but people do travel for these as the cost varies from one place to another) Ours will costs us £850 for two adults and two children, but one child doesnt have to have an xray or blood test due to his age. However once you have done these or applied for your police check you have to have your golden ticket (visa) vailidated within a year the meds or police check date it was done, so dont do them yet wait till you have at least applied for your visa as there is also a wait at the mo. Guest yvonne and paul Posted August 26, 2008 Share Posted August 26, 2008 hi once you have your visa you have to validate it within a year ( go on holiday) that year starts from the day you had you med/ police check complete then you have 4 years to move there.
