I think it applies to the whole year but don't over stress it because it's not relevant. That question is only relevant if you're trying to claim you are not UK resident. If you are claiming split year treatment (by putting an X in box 3) you can't have claimed to be non-resident for the whole year (by putting an X in box 1). 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
