Jo1
Hi, My horses are being shipped to Australia and I wondered if I could take their medication, such as Equipred with me in hand luggage or hold luggage?
not a hillbilly
Check with your equine club's umbrella organisation or racing stable that regularly ships horses overseas. Definitely get your vet to write a letter or provide documentation for customs -- don't want them to assume you are ingesting it.

I'd search the ABF website and see whether the active ingredient of Equipred is prohibited, and if it isn't then I'd consider bringing it in your hold luggage and do what @not a hillbilly recommends. I would definitely not put any kind of obscure medication in your hand luggage given that you will most likely transit through Asian or Middle Eastern country. If in doubt then better to bin it and not take the risk. https://www.abf.gov.au/importing-exporting-and-manufacturing/prohibited-goods/categories/drugs-medicines-and-therapeutic-substances#
