Guest ramzi
Hi everybody, I am so happy to find a great site like this. I am intending to travel to Adelaide on next Sept. and I was wondering if anyone knows what is the renting procedure in Adelaide. I logged in to Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au and I noticed that leasing companies ask for some document which is normally don't available with new immigrant ! such us: Previous leasing contract, driving licence...etc. my second question, is it possible to do renting remotely. I mean can I lease a flat before I reach SA? Thanks in advance for your help.
Guest Guest9973
Hi Ramzi Have as many references as you can. You may have to even show a bank statement as proof of funds. If you really need to fight for a certain rental a personal letter about you and your family / situation may help sway a landlord. Any evidence of previous renting is good. Having someone here who can provide a reference is good. Some offer rent in advance. Good rentals are in short supply - 15 - 20 may turn up for a viewing. I doubt if agents will respond if you are not in this country. I'd not try unless you see the rental either - might look good on the internet but in real life???
