Brianm93 Posted July 3, 2023 Share Posted July 3, 2023 (edited) Hi everyone, Thought I’d come on to vent a little bit and see how everyone is getting on with their journey for the 491 visa. It’s been just over a year since I signed, sealed and delivered my application to Australian immigration and I’ve not had a peep out of them yet. My life and my young family’s lives are on complete hold while we wait to see what the outcome of the application will be, and I’m sure there are many people on here in the same boat. My health checks and my police checks have just expired and I don’t know whether to go and get them done again now or wait until I’m contacted by a case officer, it’s a risk of getting them done and not being contacted for another year… a much unneeded expense, but I do like to be prepared and have everything in place. Hopefully the pace picks up and grants start coming thick and fast. How is everyone else’s journey going? For reference, I applied to South Australia, I’m a Gasfitter from the UK and had 70 points.
