RosieJT2022 Posted October 1, 2022 Share Posted October 1, 2022 Hi! Looking for some advice please. Just submitted our 189 visa (critical care nurse), and need to do medical assessment... When is the best time for this? Shall we just get it done ASAP, and hope our visa is processed within the 12 months expiry, or shall I wait to get our visa finalised before completing a medical? - can a visa even be completely processed without a medical? Grateful for any advice! Just don't want to spend hundreds for the medical to expire before our visa is granted. If your application is decision ready when they pick it up (I.e with the medicals and police checks completed) then things will go faster. If it’s not, then they will request them and put the application on hold until you provide the information and they get around to it again. You need to make a judgement call as to whether you think the processing will take more than 12 months and whether the risk of repeating the medicals is worth, potentially, speeding up a decision by several or more months. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
