Jalphonse 5 Posted July 6, 2022 Hi, I just heard from my friend Emil who applied for his 888 Visa in January 2021 and received a grant Monday this week (July 2022). He was primary holder of 188B Investor visa. The processing time is 16-17 months. Has anyone else received their 888 Visa grant? Have the processing times improved? Kindly update. Steve Elliott 117 Posted July 7, 2022 It really depends on a number of factors. Government can effectively pull all sorts of levers if and when it wants. For example, 188c's have been given priority processing status so they are now going through quite quickly. The majority of Chinese/HK applications for 188/888 are processed offshore, in Hong Kong but due to re-emergence of Covid, that centre essentially closed down, with the caseload diverted to Adelaide. It is obvious that there is a desire to shorten the pathway to PR for business and investor visas as evidenced by the changes which came into effect in July 2021 re when the 888 can be applied for. Notwithstanding, it's still a bit of a lottery. It was the Labour Governemnt which introduced the current business visa regime, so one would hope, processing times will speed up from here. Fingers crossed. Steve Elliott Registered Migration Agent (MARN 1804671) Private Wealth Adviser, Investor Visa Specialist
