kgiammatteo Posted January 18, 2021 Share Posted January 18, 2021 Hi everyone! I'm in the process of completing my 485 visa application and I'm having some confusion regarding my OVHC. I've started a new policy which begins the day after my student visa ends, however I'm on monthly payment options. My new OVHC insurance certificate has a "date policy begins" but the "date policy ends" is blank as it is an open-ended policy. The visa application requests to show proof of coverage for the entire duration of the visa, however if I'm only paying for one month at a time, does that mean I only have proof of one month of coverage? Despite that my policy has no end date? Or do I need to pay for 4 years up front? Which I can't afford. The actual application asks for your insurance information, noting that OSHC is not acceptable coverage for the 485. However when I put in the details for my new OVHC it asks for an end date and if I leave it blank or try to type in anything other than a date it won't accept it. I'm not sure which date to use or how to remedy this. The visa is for 2-4 years, so maybe I'm meant to put my end date as 4 years from the start date? Despite having no proof of that?
