sam hall Posted December 2, 2020 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Hi Bamboozled, If you have passed vetasses to qualify for cert 3 in carpentry and you have family here and are in the correct age bracket you may qualify for a apply for skilled independent subclass 189 (points tested) you would have to do the IELTS English test, you have to send an expression of interest and be invited for this visa though. I would phone the immigration office and ask for their advise. Back in 2010 when I applied you could get a family member who lives in oz sponsor you on a skilled sponsored visa, but they scrapped that now.
