Dpope
Hello, Weldone to all contributors. Have abit of problem. Currently in Australia. Sponsored wife and daughter for partner visa. Partner got initial RFI for me to submit PCI and consent form for daughter a month ago. Partner got another RFI 2 days ago to go do medicals as Initial one submitted gone beyond 12 months. My issue is with my daughters passport. She holds Nigeria and US passport. Case officer quoted the US passport number in both RFIs. Problem is her US passport expires in 3 months time and hoping to renew it when they join me in Australia as both parents need to be present for renewal. So can I notify case officer to grant her visa on the Nigeria passport instead or its based on their discretion? Daughter was born in US. Thanks. Any advice will be appreciated. rammygirl
E mail the case officer back and ask the question. If the visa is granted on the USA passport as long as it is valid to enter, once it is renewed then you simply let immigration know the new details on line via your account and the visa will be transferred. Dpope
Thanks for the response.. I intend to renew when they get to Australia as part of the requirement is both parents should be present since she's a minor. So asking if we can use the Nigeria passport to get the Australian visa as opposed to the USA one..
rammygirl
If the case officer asked you for documents you should have an e mail for them. Why not contact them and ask, it should be possible.
