fdsilva54
I have been travelling to Australia for many years as my sibblings lives in Tasmania and my parents are buried in Tasmania. I applied for A evisitor visa back in October 2018 and it is still being processed because I have a criminal record in 1989 which I have declared in the past and allowed entry. My brothers and sister are all getting old and I am denied visiting them and my sister and parents grave. What di I have to do to get them to grant me my visa? Guest The Pom Queen
Hi @fdsilva54 welcome to the forum, that does seem an extremely long while for an E Visa. Are you sure they have received your application? Are you from a high risk country? Did you apply direct through the Gov site? I know when the in laws have come over they keep telling us about 3rd party websites set up charging double/triple the price. https://www.eta.homeaffairs.gov.au/ETAS3/etas?locale=en&tab=&submit=apply
fdsilva54
I had a criminal record in the past about30 years ago but I was granted visa in the past. I have declared this every time but in this occasion they are still processing since 18th October 1998
Raul Senise
Character provisions have increased significantly in the past couple of years. A conviction which may have been accepted in the past, may now need review by the Character Unit, which would cause processing delays.
