Excellent referral for 309/100 Partner Visa

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone

We recently submitted my wife's Partner Visa 309/100 (28 Feb 2019) and I wanted to let you know of the fantastic blogs available from the following:

www.brookearoundtown.com or the following link: http://brookearoundtown.com/australian-permanent-residency-through-820-801-partner-visa

Brooke's posts relate to the 820/801 visa but almost identical information is required for the 309/100 visa. I started preparing for the visa in August 2018 and I read many forums, websites, posts, blogs - I also paid money for some as I am sure you have seen. In December I found Brooke's posts. Out of all the information I had read, Brooke's posts were by far the most accurate, up to date and easy to follow. It made grouping my supporting evidence much easier than had I gone in blind.

Sponsor's Application 40SP - when you submit your Applicant Form 47SP online and make your payment the sponsor's name will appear below the Applicant's. You will see the evidence that is required to be uploaded for the sponsor which also includes the Form 40SP. The system will not allow you to upload the old form 40SP (the one that used to be used for paper applications).  I googled Form 40SP on line which took me to the correct form. After completing and uploading I then noticed that my name appeared again on my wife's (the Applicant) log in stating I had 60 uploads. I saved the Form 40SP via Google Chrome and then uploaded it to my original Sponsor section which requests the form. I had no issues with uploading. The system will not allow you to upload an encrypted document which is why you need to save via Google Chrome - print - PDF. The new system allows 100 uploads for Applicant and Sponsor - not 60 as was previously the case. I used 92 for my wife (the Applicant) and only 20 something for me as Sponsor.

Apart from actually sorting what evidence you require I found grouping the evidence before hand saved lots of time. What took the most time were the various statements that my wife and I completed and then attaching Tables relating to the supporting evidence we provided. We did a signed statement each for each of the required areas: History of the Relationship (incl future plans), Financial aspects, Nature of the commitment, Nature of the Household, Social aspects and Periods of separation. We saved our statements plus Table of supporting docs as one file for each of the areas I have listed eg: Applicant & Sponsor names_History of our relationship & Table of supporting evidence.

Last point - much of your evidence will relate to more than one section - only upload evidence once (you will run out of uploads otherwise) but refer to the piece of evidence in your respective evidence tables.

I hope the above info makes sense and is useful to all those about to or in the process of submitting their Application.

Best of luck to everyone!
