Susanp
Hi, I have applied 489 subsequent entrant visa for my husband on 1st June 2018. He had to produce Qatar police check in addition to the police check of the country he currently resides as he was working there for 2 years. We could add the police check after 1.5 months of visa lodgement. However today (after 3 months of submission of the police check) we received a request from immigration to submit a fresh police check as there is a difference on his name. It takes around 3 months to get another clearance from Qatar and it’s bit difficult to deal with them. If we submit an affidavit, will it be sufficient for this matter? Coz I believe now the processing time gets delayed further if we wait for another 3 months to get the clearance.

Police checks must have correct name and any other name a person has been known by.
