MDavid
Hi All, I have done my skill assessment as electronic engineer (bachelor degree). I have masters in IT as well from Australia. In my EOI, should I mention masters degree under Education History though it is not related to my occupation (electronics engineer)? Secondly, I have professional year in IT. Can I claim 5 point of professional year if I am applying my EOI as electronic engineer? Help please Thanks

Sue Battistin
The points for your Masters Degree can be claimed even though it is not relevant to your nominated occupation however you can only claim points for the professional if it meets the following requirements. See below under schedule 6D points assessment. Part 6D.6 Australian professional year qualifications At the time of invitation to apply for the visa, the applicant had completed ... a professional year in Australia in: (a) the applicant’s nominated skilled occupation; or (b) a closely related skilled occupation; for a period totalling at least 12 months in the 48 months immediately before that time
